About This Blog

Songs to Wear Pants To was a website that had some songs you could listen to in your computer by right-clicking and saving as. Back in 2002-ish. Until about ten years ago.

Basically, this Canadian dude named Andrew had people send him prompts from which he would create songs. Some are traditional singer-songwriter fare. Most are absolutely bananas.

And now I'm going to be blogging about each one, or at least most of them. I've never done a blog like this before, but inspiration hit me on my ride home from work one day while listening to one of the STWPT compilation albums, and I was like, "I gotta do this."

Each post contains some metadata about the song, a summary of the prompt it was based on, links to archival snapshots of the original site (which is tragically no more, as Andrew has moved onto having an actual music and YouTube career), as well as a little introduction to the song, like what to expect. And of course, an embed of the song itself.

I hope you'll join me on this journey I call "Pants-a-Day." Like a multivitamin, but with more pants and less "one."

About the Blogger

Hi, I'm Eden Biskin (they/them/their). I'm just a longtime STWPT fan. I also write, though usually that's fiction. As you may have read above, the idea for this blog just hit me one day on the way home from work. (I am a public librarian in New Jersey, USA.)

I am also the former Executive Producer of the ZUCast, a major Legend of Zelda fan podcast. That's not related to this blog in any way, shape, or form, but I gotta flash my nerd cred when I can.
